PUBLIC NOTICE
Temporary closure of London Lane, Cuckfield, 20th October 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, West Sussex
County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic London Lane, Cuckfield, in the Mid Sussex
District under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, on London
Lane for a distance approx 50 metres
The emergency temporary closure commenced on 20th October 2025 for a maximum of 21
days. It is anticipated that works will be completed on 22nd October 2025. The road closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while South East Water undertakes 24hr
closure for emergency repair to leak on comm pipe in the carriageway.
The restriction will be in place 24hrs.
An alternative route will be signed on site.
Access maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians within the closed area.
