Temporary closure of Whitemans Green, Cuckfield CP, 7th September 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, West Sussex County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic Whitemans Green, Cuckfield CP, in the Mid Sussex District under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, on Whitemans Green for a distance approx 250 metres
The emergency temporary closure commenced on 7th September 2026 for a maximum of 21 days. It is anticipated that works will be completed on 10th September 2026. The road closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while South East Water undertakes The urgent renewal of a leaking water main.
The restriction will be in place 24hrs per day.
An alternative route will be signed on site.
Access maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians within the closed area.
